#BBNaija: Big Brother Naija And The "Legalized Insanities" Of Our Time - John Izabi

At first, I've decided to keep mute and save my pen ink so as not to join millions of other folks to advertently or inadvertently give more fame to the profanity that is bequeathed the so-called BBNaija Tv Show. But for how long are we going to continue keeping quiet while watching our societal morals go down the drain daily?

I'd rather rather raise SALIENT arguments against this notoriety, than remaining SILENT as i wonder what our society is fast becoming daily, with these sort of celebrated absurdities!!

BBNaija, as its fondly called, a notorious programme currently being aired on international media in which the winner of this obscene show is expected to walk away with a whopping N40 something million and a breathtaking car.

All that is required to win this show is to be on LIVE TV with a bunch of fellow crazy, irresponsible people, do all sorts of immoral things, and before one could say Jack Robbins, you're the winner. OMG! 😢

Next thing, you're called a celebrity, winning big advertisement contracts and becoming the face of multinational companies.

Unfortunately, If only there could be an educating version of this programme. If only they could house some intelligent people in like manner and make them compete for similar prizes. But, no! Our people do not encourage sanity. Our society promotes evil over good, indecency over decency, immorality over morality, and ungodliness over godliness.

Pitiably, The best in Mathematics competitions will go home with either a carton of cowbell milk or Indomie noodles, ridiculous stipends and laughable prizes. Yet these morons in BBN will earn millions for coming to suck breasts, speak thrash, display nudity, and get under the sheets on International TVs.

Interestingly, Our rich individuals, companies and corporate organisations will spend huge sums of money sponsoring dirty shows like BBN and Beauty Pageants where they will enthrone satanic activities, display nudity, molest our under aged girls, and make them win on bottom power rather than on real beauty and brains. Can anyone forget the Anambra State born Chidinma Okeke saga in a hurry?

What a wasted generation! What a time! How do we raise, nurture and produce the next Chike Obis, Chinua Achebes, Wole Soyinkas, Cyril stover, Philip Emegualis, Apostle olatunde Adekunle, and yes, P.O.C. Akorefes?

What foundation are we laying for coming generations? What message of hope and legacy are we leaving behind? What epistle are we sending to the future to testify to it that the past made some level of contributions. Is Immorality the legacy we really want to hand down to the next generation?
Are we not losing our minds? 😱

Of a truth, Let all people of goodwill, come together and raise alarm against this dirty programme. Let us in one voice and unison say, we've had enough of this nonsense. We should see that this programme is replaced with a more intelligent and educative programme.
Some even go as far as quoting PARENTAL GUIDANCE and 18+ CONTENT CENSORSHIP Rating in sharp defence of the programme, still the bitter truth be told as i insist that there's no form of justification whatsoever to this current wave of INSANITY and gross Profanity cum Obscenity that graces our screens regularly, without any recourse to our National values, cultural norms and its associated Sanctions.

Please share until a thought process is provoked in the heart of everyone and we can stand and say enough is enough.
Our kids now act like what they see on TV.

Howbeit the whole brouhaha and razz matazz that has greeted the show as presently being observed, THIS WHOLE INSANITY MUST STOP!! My humble submission.

Let me rest my pen for now to refill its ink. I shall be back sooner than expected!!
